Common Name: Bird of Paradise
Botanical Name: Strelitzia Reginae

What they look like: Very colorful and bright
Colors it comes in: Orange, Blue, Yellow, and Purple
Season: It is available September-May, Spring
Where it is grown: Native to South Africa

Flower form: Small banana like leaves, fan like crown, and it usually reaches four feet in height
How it is sold: Sold in stems

Special care: keep room temp. above 50 degrees,check water level and mist daily, and remove any dying flowers.
Meaning: Resembles a brightly colored bird in flight, represents joyfulness
